Honeywell Infant & Junior schools are lucky to have their own magazine, Sting, which is distributed to all children at the end of term.
It is produced voluntarily by a small group of parents with contributions and help from the children, staff and other parents. Sting is a lively and information magazine which aims to reflect the whole school community.
Each issue includes a huge variety of topics ranging from educational issues and school events to sports & club news, as well as drawings, poems and jokes from the children.
The magazine also includes advertisements and sponsorship, usually from local businesses, and their support is much appreciated. All profits go directly to the PTFA.
Sting welcomes ideas, articles, stories, poems, drawings, jokes from all children, parents and staff. The children in particular love to see their contributions in print. There is also a classified section which is free to private advertisers.
Contributions and classifieds can be placed in the Sting box in the school office.
